At last i am back from long “medical visit” to Singapore.
Phew, spending a week time in Singapore surely worth the time and the money. Singapore is a fantastic modern and wonderful city. They got top notch facilities; the airport, the mass transit, they also home of great foods and Malls
As i post before, i was leaving for Singapore to accompany my mom checking for her health issue. Thanks God the check-up result was good and there was no serious problem found on my mom.
The check up took total of 2 days, but our return ticket was for a week. That made us have a lot of time to shop and walk around in Singapore.
As a total bookworm, I spent most of my time in “Kinokuniya” and “Border” bookstore.
I did manage to skim read some interesting books; Wordpress for dummies, books about how to start business in the internet, affiliate marketing and many more.
Skim reading really saves me a lot of money, i was able to avoid jumping to every book with interesting cover which in the end offer no more than what i already know from another book.
I bought a lot of books on my last visit to Singapore (around SGD 500), but this time, i only spent no more than SGD180
Now i am back, i am going to do some shop-manager-duty for few days.
Then i’ll start focus on rolling henbima.com and working on my “make money online” project.
Hey there welcome back to the bustling blogosphere! Glad to know that everything is fine with your mom, I was having my fingers crossed as well
last time my father had severe pain when he’s urinating and we accompanied him to the doctor with a heavy heart… and to discover that he just had a minor infection of the urethra. Phew.
I’ve tried to find an unwrapped Wordpress for Dummies book in Kinokunia or Borders Bookstore but all of them were shrink-wrapped! I only get to look sadly at the book cover
heheh. SGD180 is a lot of books! The last book shopping spree made me poorer by SGD50+ only.
Have a great weekend (well there’s technically Sunday left, but hey, 24 hours more!).

Heya ted! Thanks for your encouragement!!
Yeah, i kinda know how you feel. Before seeing Mount E’s doctor we was in so much worry too.
Especially after had heard our local doctor diagnosis summary that my mom got “serious one” (we had local doctor check on my mom few months earlier).
About the books, i think i was lucky then
Anyway you can ask the shop clerk to open the book, can’t you? I did that with some books before decide which one to buy
I don’t think WP for dummies can offer you any good ted. As you are not dummies anymore but advanced WP blogger
However, if you really want to have a peek on the book and see for yourself whether it is for you or not, i’d recommend you check the book index from Kinokuniya search like i did.
Try this :
WP For Dummies ToC on Kinokuniya
Sometimes if the book is too expensive for me, i’ll skim read the book’s ToC, copy and paste the topic i found interesting on google.
Most of the times, i don’t read all the book from cover to cover, just what i really need. So this technique can save me some more money
Have a great weekend too ted! Happy Sunday
