Quit Your Day Job And Still Make Money?
Powered by MaxBlogPress

Hi everyone,

Part of my 5 bucks a day mini project currently is :
Campaign Blasting to my own product and Blasting to my own review landing page.

Part of the blasting plan to my own product is by building an ebook site that sells PLR&MRR products I have in my harddrives.

Blasting to my own review landing page, will be done by selecting a niche and pick several different products around that niche to review.

To blast on review page, I’ll need a review page generator or script.
There is many script on market to do this task, but none are in my budget.

Okay, as some of you already know, I know nothing about HTML even worse I now null about PHP.

So I prefer to build a landing page, using Wordpress.
There is so much thing about wordpress that all of us know, SEO benefit, free plugins, and themes which available everywhere.

The only problem is, how to make a review site page, which look like a review page.

Talking about : Star rating, Ability to add users comment and to calculate User’s feedback and all.

To make it short, after looking everywhere, I found and bough a Great Plugin with a great price!

Its only $12.5!!

The name is reviewPRESS.

reviewPress

A Package of plugin and themes to create a review page as easy and as soon as possible. No need to worry about html and uploading pages.
You just need to worry about writing the review :)

You can see the demo site of reviewPRESS here :
www.reviewspressdemo.com

Some ideas what I will do with reviewPRESS and the OTO’s:

  • Making a review for PLR memberships available.
  • Making a review for Internet Marketing memberships
  • Making a review for Hosting and other recurring commisions product.

All of those reviews will be created in one domain, in it’s own respective subdomains.

Say, if I have www.myreviewsite.com as my review site,
then I’ll create a subdomain for :

  • Hosting.myreviewsite.com
  • IMMembership.myreviewsite.com
  • PLRMembership.myreviewsite.com

Each of subdomain will have their own WordPress installed with reviewPRESS themes and plugin switched on.

reviewPRESS pros

  • You can make a review page as comfy as accessing your WP Blog.
  • You can have your visitors to give comments and rating which will be summed as products overall rating
  • The plugin and theme package is cheap and you can start as soon as possible.
  • The longest part of creating review page using this plugin is, the time needed to write a review.
  • There is more features and benefit of this plugin, you should check for your self, rather than listening to my rambling :)

reviewPRESS cons

reviewPRESS do have some cons in my eyes,

  • You are limited to the themes provided, unless you’re able to edit WordPress themes, then you will stuck with the current. The current themes is not too bad after all, it just lack of flexibility
  • You will need to install blog in every domain (and subdomain if you follow my idea above).

This will need more spaces on your hosting (which suppose not to be a problem these days, eh?)

So far, that’s what I can say about reviewPRESS.
Feel free to comment. I’ll add some more later on.

At this moment, I have just installed reviewPRESS on my long time bough domain : PLRRetailer.com

No post made yet, but looking through the potential, I’ll surely move to this project as soon as I finish working on FlashPPC.

Buy reviewPRESS

Get reviewpress for $12.5 by using this link : reviewspress.com

There will be a great OTO after you buy the initial product.
I took the OTO myself and currently downloading it. It a heck big files!
The OTO is related to review product as well.

So, what are you waiting for?

A commission from just one sales generated by your review page will be more than enough to cover $12.5 you invest for this great plugin :)

Go, buy now, while price last

Thinking Of Theme Changes

March 23rd, 2008 by Henbima

It almost 2 month since henbima.com goes online with this look. Some minor modification has been taken to improve the blog look and i still feel dissatisfied with the modification.

I made some effort to modify the sidebar and footer to something like nanyate or teddY’s blog, but lack of time and skill made it almost impossible for me to learn the “nip&tuck” by mylsef.

I think this css and php editing is not for me. So i will take the easiest way to instantly change the look of this blog by changing the theme with one that close to what i need.

What i need from a theme :

  • look clean
  • fast to load
  • widgetized
  • has footer that can easily be modify using widgets
  • easy to monetized (i am thinking of 125×125)
  • Most Important of all, it is FREE :)

Actually i have started trial and error with some themes on my old blog, since last week. I found these Themes as the nominee :

Do you have themes or actually use one that look fit what i need above? I’d be grateful if you have one in your mind and drop the link down here as comment. Thanks!!

March 1st, 2008 by Henbima

Henbima dot com web 2.0 styleHave you ever found yourself admiring the trendy Web 2.0 Style Logo people use in their websites and you are wondering how expensive and how hard it might be to make one? You don’t even dare to ask your web designer how much it gonna cost to make one for your website.

Now, don’t just admire! Try make one for your self, it not as hard as you might think, and it won’t cost you a dime. You can start as soon as possible if you already had the necessary software installed in your computer.

I’d said it is so easy, the one you see up there made not more than 15 minutes.

My friend teddY who run a well designed blog, have given detail tutorial how to make Web 2.0 Style Badge for free. He use photoshop on his tutorial. I have seen some tutorial like this before, but none gave as much detail as much teddY.

Yea, it might not as good as teddY’s creation, but hey, its my first trial, give me a break please :D

If you don’t have photoshop, don’t worry, you can still use free license software which also has good quality. It is Gimp, and you can easily find tutorials too. Just google it using keyword “gimp web 2.0 badge” or whatever suit you, and you will find some in no time.

Below i have compiled some for you to check :

  • This one is quite famous as it is digg-ed already. You will find topics about Using Gimp to make Web 2.0 Buttons and Graphics, Creating Badges/Violators using Gimp, Creating Reflections for Logos in Gimp and Creating Shadows in Gimp.
  • This video will give you clear tutorial how to do it
  • This one just give a simple text tutorial, personally i’d prefer tutorial which at least has picture on it, you will know if you missing something.

Web 2.o graphics are booming at the moment, you better make sure you’re not left behind, create one for your blog today!

Own domain

February 25th, 2008 by Hendra

I am currently thinking to have my own domain for my blog.

Yes, this hokkymart.com is my own domain, but it was first intended to be my company (read:shop) domain. I ordered the domain so i can have my email with “@hokkymart.com” prefix in my name card as well as all my correspondence.

This blog was started just for fun, and wrote all the mumbling i had in mind, nothing serious thinking with it. But now, i realize that, blogging is not just for mumbling, having fun and sharpen my english. It actually can be used to make money, making friends and many more.

Why do i need my own domain, rather than continue using this blog as my blog. Well, some people out there already pointed out some of the benefits of having my own domain rather than subdomain. Below is my excerpt from fellow bloggers :

  1. Freedom and Security Purposes - Blogs under a subdomain is usually hosted for free (e.g. Blogger and Wordpress), hence, these blogs are under the mercy of the site administrators. Failure to comply could mean the suspension of your blog.
  2. Better Search Engine Ranking - Based from experience, a domain name compared to a subdomain generally has a higher search engine ranking especially when it’s well optimized. Blogs or websites under a subdomain is in high suspicion of spamming. Since it’s free, the potential for spamming and abuse is very high. On the other hand, websites that use their own domain names are considered to be less spammy. Why would you spam using your own domain when you’re paying for it?
  3. Keep Your Google PR and Other Rankings - Most of the successful bloggers of today started blogging with free blogging services like Blogger. As soon as they have established a number of readers and credibility, they move to host their own blog. The problem with moving your blog is lossing your Google Page Ranking and other ranks if all the while you’ve been under a subdomain (e.g. yourblog.blogspot.com). If however you have your own domain name, you can keep all your link juice, your precious PR and other rankings when you decide to move and host your own blog.
  4. Easier Branding - With your own domain name, branding is much easier. I’m sure you don’t want to look some fly-by-night who can’t afford $10 per year to register your own domain name.
  5. More Blog Monetization Opportunities - The fact. Advertisers are becoming more picky with blogs where they want to advertise. If you’re with PPP, Sponsored Reviews or Smorty, you probably read opportunities that are not accepting reviews from blogs under a subdomain. If you’re using a subdomain, you are lossing alot of opportunities to earn from your blog.

What i can’t agree more is : Registering and using your own domain name is really cheap.

  • Nasir, the winner of TophostingCenter competition about the importance of owning your own domain, says this in his blog :
  1. First and foremost reason, it gives a professional to your blog/site, if you own a domain
  2. Most of the times, sub domain are ignored by search engines to be listed in their search results
  3. Subdomains are subjected to follow certain rules and regulation, in some cases show compulsory link to their main site4. Sub domain are not registered on you. Moreover sub domains do not have email address support, like you@yoursite.subdomain.com, whereas in domain you have a support for email address like you@yourdomain.com
  4. You are no more than a tenant, Sub domains are registered on their respective owner, whereas if you own a domain your are the real boss
  5. Subdomain url’s are hard to remember with those slashes, dots, hyphens, numbers etc example Http://.123-mysite.free-site.com/
  6. In the other hand if own a domain url’s are based on your name or company so its easy to remember
  7. Subdomains like blogger, wordpress and other free platforms does not support PHP, MYSQL database, ASP etc, In the other hand domains PHP, MYSQL database,ASP and lot more are supported
  8. In sub domains like Blogger,Wordpress, or any other free platforms do not support file hosting of word,PDF,.exe files on to their server. In domains you are allowed to upload and host many files on to their servers
  9. Sub domains(expect wordpress) do not have multiple pages like http://You.subdomain.com/contact. In other hand in domains, you can have a number of multiple pages

Reasons given by Nasir and bloggingmix should be enough for me to start considering a domain name for my blog. Other than reasons stated above, i think having my own domain, will somehow motivate me to post more and socialize more with other bloggers, this long domain name, is not an easy name to remember as well…
