I got some situations happening around me lately, that make me not posting and responding to comment&email as i used to.

Dengue Fever

Early this month my wife got hospitalized over a week for getting a dengue fever.

I had to left my “IM world” for 2 weeks to go to Surabaya (bigger city 1.5hour by plane from my home town) to have a better treatment for her, because place where we live and work is a small city that doesn’t have proper medical support. My home town doctor diagnosed her to had Malaria at first

If you don’t know what Dengue Fever is, it is a very high fever >39celcius which caused by a mosquito bite (is that the correct word?) and most of the case happen in Tropical country.
If not treated well, it can cause death.

Automation On My Shop

Back from 2 week “vacation” we got pretty much homework to do. A lot of paper work, and some technical work such as improving and automating systems.

My focus is on employing technology and systems that can automate works that possible to be automated. My concept is to save as much time as possible in doing repetitious works.

One of technology I install is fingerprint identification system that can generate my employee attendance report on excel every end of month automatically.

Another are installing more surveliance cameras, new computers, updating my back office software and some more.

Need To Re Focus My Time

As you already know from my past post, i have been a member of couple of membership where i actively pay $30 a month to get access to.

While i like to learn and got no problem on paying for education, my time doesn’t permit me to educate myself that much

My JOB, my shop consume my time quite a lot and push me to use my free time online wiser if i want to keep in IM business.

Anyway I already decide which forum i want to keep and be with, and which forum that doesn’t compliment with my project and just distract me from my focus which in short membership i can unsubscribe from.

Even though it’s hard for me to unsubscribe from those memberships (I sign some of them on special price), i think this is the right thing to do. I will unsubscribe until i got the right reason to re-subscribe.

Oh, btw, one of the forum i will keep is….. of course Earn1Kaday forum

A couple days ago, finally, I took the time to watch the box office movie that everyone talk about. I can understand know why lot of my friends recommend me to watch Iron Man. It’s very cool and one of the best super hero movie that I ever watched. The initial number also showed Iron Man Movie topped forecast and earn more than US$ 100 million just for the first weekend in US! The number is not including the International yet. The initial number pass most super hero movie like Superman or Batman or even some Spiderman series.

So what does this mean for you? You can being one of the millions of people worldwide that are going to see this movie. Or you can become the minority and  make money by ride this trend. How ? By promote products or anything related to Iron Man. If you have an interest in super hero stuffs, the potential here is amazing. Just look at the Spiderman movie series, they have been marketing and commercializing the heck out of that movie since day one. If you got in early with promoting or marketing Spiderman products, you probably made out very well.

With Iron Man movie huge success it will going to get massive overflow of people searching online for videos, wallpapers, the IronMan story, comics, costume and more… you name it! There are lots of potential here. You can find merchants selling Iron Man products easily like Amazon.com, BestBuy.com and many other online retailer. That’s why one of my friend decide to do, monetizing the trend. He showed his site IronManStores.com that already up just a couple days after Iron Man Movie launch on May 2, 2008. His site sell several products like Iron Man Comics, movie poster, video games and many other things related to Iron Man. Some of the items are rare and collectible items. You will suprise how a special collectible comis can cost you several thousand dollars.

It’s not too late if you want build a site like this, consider it’s just few days after movie launch. And Iron Man 2 already planned to launch on 2010 which give you lots of time to build establish site Or may be you can target the next super hero box office movie like Hulk on June 2008 or many other Marvel super hero movie. I hope this post give you some ideas on monetizing new trend.
